Graduate Students |
We are currently looking for graduate students to join the lab at both the MS and PhD levels. The deadline for applications is December 15th, and general information about the application process can be found here. If you have any questions about the lab, department, or program, do not hesitate to email Dr. Phillips.
If you are interested in applying to join the lab, please contact Dr. Phillips to discuss the possibility before submitting a formal application to the department. In your email, please include the following information:
Students who join the lab can expect to receive training in experimental design, computational and bioinformatic skills, and experience generating and analyzing various types of phenotypic and omic data (e.g. genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, etc.). MS and PhD students admitted to OSU's Department of Integrative Biology receive guaranteed support through Graduate Research Assistant and/or Graduate Teaching Assistant appointments. This guarantee is for two years in the case of MS students and five for PhD students. However, students are also encouraged to pursue internal and/or external funding for themselves and/or their research (e.g. Internal OSU Fellowships and the NSF GFRP). Dr. Phillips will work closely with students in the lab pursing such opportunities. |
Postdoctoral Researchers |
If you are interested in working in the lab at a postdoctoral researcher, please email Dr. Phillips directly to discuss possibilities.
